Hermana Abbigail Harper: SO HAVE I TOLD YOU GUYS ABOUT THE DOUBLE BANANA YET?

Where to begin, where to begin....oh i know, how about with the stuff i need to get out before i forget! ok so bay's visa....there are a ton of kids here right now going to chiclayo. Pero, they will leave literally the day before bay gets here. Entonces, none of them have visas yet. In fact every single person here going to any mission in peru does not have a visa. they are doing the temporary citizenship immigration interpol thing that worked with the test group that just left. (aka my friends who im going to live with in provo) So i was talking to my chiclayo elder friends about it and they were all like oh ya tell your brother not to believe them when they say he might go to provo cause thats what we all thought and then we all came here. They said they are 98% sure he will be coming here like the rest of them did. So esta bien!!!!

Alright so 4th of July here was actually celebrated!! My district and I all wore red white and blue and then the CCM crew surprised us with a BBQ! (or their version of a BBQ at least. haha) We had chicken AND ham AND roastbeef AND mashed potatoes. Im pretty sure they just think americans are obsessed with meat or something. But it was really yummy and the cafeteria was all decked out and decorated with american flags and red white and blue balloons. The chefs were also wearing american flag bandanas, it was awesome. Oh and there was also a layered flag cake and star sugar cookies. They went all out! It was incredibly nice of them to do all of that just for our independence day. It really made us feel at home, we loved it so much. Oh that reminds me, so there is this mini christmas tree here that has been passed down from district to district since december, and since we are the oldest we have the tree!! we are having christmas on sunday and are gonna do a secret santa gift exchange and everything. so stoked. i love my district. oh and also each district makes an ornament to put on the tree before they pass it down to the next disctrict. Silly CCM traditions, but we got to do what we can do mix it up around here. haha So bay try and make sure your district gets the tree when youre here!

So have I told you guys about the double banana yet? So the other day at Fruta there was a double banana....first of all fruta is when we all get to go to the cafeteria after class at 9:20 before heading upstairs for the night at 9:30. Basically the kitchen jsut leaves out a pick tub of fruit and we pig out. (sometimes they have ice cream and it gets crazy town trying to get one.) Fruta is the best. Anyways Elder belnap unpeeled his banana and there were two inside! Like literally two separate, individual bananas. Wrapped in the same peel. Mind. Blown. I took a pic that im sure you will all get to see eventually.

Well this week was good. I said the opening prayer in spanish at the sunday devotional. I also taught sunday school to my district with my companions. crazy stuff. But other than that just studying, doing some spanish and progressing our investigators. aka our teachers. haha its crazy that this is the last time im going to write home while in the CCM! Cause next week ill be leaving early in the morning for the airport. So im kinda not really gonna get a pday next weeek, so you wont get another email from me for two whole weeks! Strange. But hopefully calling you in the airport will work. I know you asked for my travel plans mom, but i have no idea. They tell us nothing. All i know is that im leaving the CCM at an early hour on tuesday. Im not sure what our time difference is but expect it to be sometime in the morning over here! Ill try house and all cells of course if im not getting anyone to pick up. I got your calling card info and possible skype stuff. That would be so cool! Also if worst comes to wrost i figured i would just collect call or something. Who knows, we shall see how it goes. LAst Pday here in Lima was awesome! I'm sad i'm not going to be doing another session at the temple here anytime soon. I really love the lima temple. Alright i'm gonna ssend this and then maybe attempt to send some pics after with the few minutes I have left. Love you guys!! Wish me luck when i ship off to Ecuador in a week!! ahhh! (yo tengo miedo.)

oh add this to my home letter but i forgot to tell you i have latina roomies now!!! they are so cute! We also joke around with them in our broken spanish and teach each other slang. it's the best.

i'll send you pics with them next week.
